After a brilliant first couple of days at Bridge and Stitch, I started this week particularly excited to get stuck into working alongside Jenny and Rachael and to learn loads of new things as well as how the company works! I started with learning how to alter a number of different pattern designs with Rachael which was great and something which i’ve always been interested in! I then managed to design a new pattern for a client, followed by design and manufacturing specs!
After spending the afternoon designing specification sheets, which again was a brand new experience, I then went onto the task of sourcing lots of different materials for clients. This was again, very interesting as sourcing is not something that I have experienced a lot of. We then decided we needed to search for a seamstress where I put together an advert on a number of different sites and links.
As you can see we are also really enjoying our new office!
Throughout this week I have managed to learn loads of new skills, from how to design swing tickets and labels on illustrator with quite a few of Jenny’s short cuts to fabric and component sourcing.
It’s been yet another great week at Bridge & Stitch and can’t wait to see what’s to come!
