Pattern Cutting Solutions for Every Stage of Development
We offer comprehensive pattern cutting services designed to support designers and brands at every stage:
Bespoke Pattern Cutting
Custom garment patterns created specifically for your design, target customer, and intended fit. Our bespoke pattern cutting ensures accurate proportions, improved comfort, and a strong technical foundation for your garments.
Pattern Grading
Accurate pattern grading across your full size range, maintaining balance, proportion, and fit consistency from the smallest to the largest size. Essential for brands producing reliable sizing and reducing fit-related returns.
Digital (CAD) Pattern Cutting
CAD-based pattern cutting for precision, efficiency, and easy amendments. Ideal for scalable production, factory collaboration, and brands requiring digital pattern files for manufacturing.
Pattern Amendments & Corrections
Refinement of existing patterns to improve fit, resolve construction issues, or adapt styles for new fabrics, markets, or production methods.
Consistent Sizing Development
Development of consistent size charts applied across your range, helping customers buy with confidence and supporting long-term brand trust and reduced returns.
Our Pattern Cutting Process
We follow a structured yet flexible process designed to support accuracy, collaboration, and production readiness. Clients are involved throughout the process, with clear feedback stages to ensure patterns meet both design and production requirements.
Initial Consultation
We begin by understanding your design vision, target customer, garment type, and technical requirements. This ensures patterns are developed with the end use firmly in mind.
Tech Pack Creation
Where required, tech packs are created or reviewed, including technical drawings, construction methods, and size charts. These act as a clear reference point throughout development.
Pattern Drafting
Patterns are drafted using digital CAD methods by default, though manual drafting is available where preferred. A master pattern is typically created in the middle size of the range.
Sampling
First samples are produced using appropriate or production-similar fabrics to accurately assess fit, proportions, and construction, rather than relying solely on basic toile fabrics.
Refinement
Fit feedback is applied to refine the pattern and resolve any issues. Iteration is a normal and expected part of professional garment development.
Grading
Once the master pattern is approved, the pattern is graded across the full size range and supplied in digital or physical format, ready for factory use.

Client Results & Feedback
Bridge and Stitch provided me with the knowledge and support to get my business off the ground. I didn’t have experience in this industry but wanted to pursue something I’d always had interest in. I didn’t know where to start. Rachael and Victoria provided me with a professional service which allowed me to create my children’s clothing.
Rachael is extremely knowledgeable, time served professional in the textile industry. Having worked in textile print industry for many years, we’re impressed with her garment construction knowledge, project management, commercial awareness and punctual, detailed admin. A rated, invaluable partner. As an individual and company of 30 years , no hesitation recommending.
Bridge & Stitch’s input was brilliant. It’s the knowledge and direction that we were missing prior to working with Bridge & Stitch. We had no sense of direction and didn’t know where to start. They have helped massively with that.
Finding a UK manufacturer was a challenge, the end-to-end service with expertise from fabric to factory was appealing and made the journey stress free. Founder Rachael filled me with confidence, no beating around the bush, she offered a personalised service. Straightforward, she walked me through the process and held my hand.
Bridge and Stitch has a huge network of UK fabric suppliers and factories. I was impressed with how they could locate the right factories for my premium sportswear brand. We use the same factory Velobici use, for quality, long-lasting products. Rachael produced tech packs and contributed with marketing ideas.
Issues creating a technical babywear brand were around factory sourcing, and tech packs you take to factories for sampling/production. When we approached Bridge and Stitch, we needed expertise on design, sampling, production, quality checking and fabric. They were thorough, organised and great communicators.
